Our Executive Director, Kirby Trapolino, recently visited our rural Uganda campus and was so blessed by the progress we’ve achieved on our two campuses. It has been four years since Kirby’s last visit to Uganda (due to the pandemic) and he was blown away by the advancement of our programs there during this time.We felt that the best way to share this progress with you is to take you on a quick tour of our primary school campus in rural Uganda. In the video below, Kirby will walk with you around the campus. You will be able to see the results of our donor’s generosity over these past months and years, but especially from our year-end campaign which funded the expansion and renovation of our primary school.
One thing that stood out as major progress is that, in addition to growing a large portion of our own food, our business model’s cash profits are now covering 40% of the cash flow need for our in-country budget. This means that for every $100 you donate to our Uganda program they are turning into $167, while also growing a majority of their own food. Here’s a photo Kirby took of all of our ~350 boarding high school students expressing their thanks for your support. Approximately 100 of the students are orphans who live on campus thanks to complete scholarships our donors make possible.
