Then and now: see the transformation of girls in our India program from orphans to college students

Do you miss old-school photo albums? It's so easy to go to the bookshelf, pick one up and instantly go back in time.

In our digitized age, it's become more difficult to organize our thousands of photos and we often lose track of old photos stored on various backup drives if we haven't printed them.

But this week we dug up some old photos as we were going through our India archives, and we wanted to share with you these images which tell a deeper story.

These are girls who came up through our India orphan care program. We have watched these girls grow up!

They have overcome so many obstacles and hardships- poverty, loss of a parent, child labor, discrimination- and are now in college, thanks to the generous support of our donors.

Look at them, then and now! Miracles!

The photos on the left are portraits taken of them from many years ago by our executive director, Kirby Trapolino.

These girls are the first of their extended families to attend college... a testimony of how changing one life can change the future of a family who has been stuck in the cycle of poverty.

Their bright lives are a testament to the faithfulness of our donors as a giver, a sponsor, or however they've been involved in our work over the years.

It's a labor of love— of building bright futures for children who have overcome so much to stand at this door of opportunity. Let's make sure the doors remain open for them.

We're committed to supporting our orphans and survivors for the long haul. But it's only made possible by your generosity.
